A

Overview

A frequency-modulated continuous-wave radar level meter supporting four-wire and two-wire applications. The higher operating frequency and shorter wavelength make it particularly suitable for solids. Transmitting and receiving through a lens gives it an advantage in high dust and harsh temperature environments.

Operating principle

  1. 01Built on self-developed CMOS millimetre-wave RF chips, giving a compact RF architecture, higher signal-to-noise ratio and smaller blind spots.
  2. 02The 5 GHz working bandwidth gives higher measurement resolution and accuracy.
  3. 03The narrowest 3° antenna beam angle minimises the effect of interference in the installation environment, which makes installation more convenient.
  4. 04The shorter wavelength reflects better off solid surfaces, so no universal flange is needed for aiming.

C

Installation

Guidance from the product’s operating documentation.

  1. 01Align the instrument with the target material level and keep it perpendicular to the surface.
  2. 02Ensure there are no interfering objects such as ladders or steps within the beam range, and keep the beam clear of the feeding port.
  3. 03Install at least 20 cm away from the container wall, otherwise readings may be incorrect.
  4. 04In a conical container, direct the beam towards the bottom of the tank, otherwise bottom measurements may be inaccurate.
